Tokyo, Japan – December 5th – Morpho AI Solutions, Inc. (hereinafter “Morpho AIS”), which is responsible for the commercialization of AI within the Morpho Group, announced today that it will begin providing a new package plan for FROG AI-OCR software, which can be used on modern books. This software package plan is exclusively for researchers.
Since July 1, 2022, Morpho AIS has been providing FROG AI-OCR, commercial software that uses NDLOCR(*1), open source software (CC BY4.0) from the National Diet Library. Morpho AIS supplies it to meet the needs of digital archiving projects and compliance with reading-related barrier-free laws, backed by the Digital Garden City Initiative that is being implemented by university libraries, regional libraries, and local governments.

Existing OCR products may not necessarily be provided in a format that is easy for researchers to use. They may only be available as full purchases, or there may be limitations on their usage duration or the number of pages they can scan. Morpho AIS has added a package plan for resources that includes the following three services so that FROG AI-OCR can be of even greater assistance in their research and development work.
1: Grant funding consultation for grants-in-aid for scientific research
Morpho AIS offers online video consultation and email consultation regarding how to appropriately and effectively use grants, based on past grant usage examples.
2: Usage period matched to research contents
Morpho AIS accommodates requests regarding usage end timing and academic year start and end points, etc., based on the contents of the research being performed.
Usage periods can be flexibly set, so feel free to inquire with Morpho AIS.
3:Flexible payment methods matched to research contents
Consult with AIS regarding payment methods, such as billing statement-based billing or credit card payment.
